Herocare Launches nuAlerts Community with 245 Businesses Offering Exclusive Discounts to Bay Area Heroes

Teachers, police, firefighters military and medical personnel, non profits and other local heroes go to Herocare nuAlerts to instantly get big discounts and special offers via text messaging, social networks, email, widgets and more

Herocare announced today the launch of their own Herocare community on nuAlerts today. Herocare is an established program in 48 counties and 19 States connecting local heroes with discounts. Local heroes such as teachers, firefighters, police officers, military and medical workers, non profit and government employees can now be the first to know about exclusive discounts from local businesses via Herocare nuAlerts. They can take the Discounts Dashboard with them via Google, Yahoo, AOL and 20 other networks in order to get real-time discount alerts as they are posted. They can also view Herocare Events on the nuAlerts Community Calendar for exclusive invitations to local events.

It is important during these tough economic times that we support the heroes that do so much for our community. Local businesses can make a significant difference in the lives of these heroes by providing exclusive discounts and offers. Herocare brings together local businesses willing to offer a wide range of exclusive offers and discounts to help local community heroes survive the economic crisis. Over 245 businesses have joined the Herocare program in the Bay Area to offer discounts to heroes in computers and electronics, food and entertainment, clothing and beauty, home and garden, sports and recreation, medical services, travel, housing and financial/debt management.

Getting the word out about our program to both businesses and local heroes is critical to our launch. Making it easy to connect businesses offering discounts with local heroes is critical to long term success. nuAlerts is the ideal solution as it gets the word out locally and connects our community via social networks, text messaging, widgets, email, community calendar and more. Best of all, it’s free, easy and quick to launch,” said Tom Wardrope, Program Director of Herocare the Pleasanton Chapter.

We’re committed to helping local communities market themselves more effectively through new media such as social networks and new formats such as text messaging,” said Reena A Jadhav, Founder, CEO of nuAlerts. “Herocare is a great program for our turbulent times and we’re honored to be the social media marketing platform of choice for their entire community.”

The Pleasanton Chapter of HeroCare invites businesses located in Alameda and Contra Costa Counties interested in joining the program to email Tom Wardrope at  twardrope@herocare.org.

Herocare invites all local heroes interested in signing up to receive discounts by signing up for Herocare Alerts or contacting Tom at 925-474-1125.
